FROM  THE KINGS ARMS  CLITHEROE (see links page) 2004

The marauders 6/8/04

A new blues band hit the scene with their own brand of rocky blues. Although not up to scratch with the blues myself which means I was not too familiar with the sounds or songs but this type of blues had everyone on their feet dancing and the crowd enjoyed every drop of music especially John Woodhead who is a constant Blues Critic so that cant be bad. The music seemed to get people going and although it was the bands 1st time out there was a decent turn out which is encouraging for future new bands and blues bands perhaps the word is getting out that only the top bands and only the best music is played at the kings arms

The marauders 15/4/05

A good mixture of blues/bluesy rock and something in
the middle was played at the Kings tonight to a fairly
busy pub. The two from the Blues Blasters plus another
two put on a very professional display with the
harmonica and slide guitar featuring highly. I like
this kind of blues, the kind of music which doesn't
leave your ears ringing until the following Wednesday,
but still makes you have to shout to be heard by the
person to your right. I really enjoyed some of the
Stevie Ray Vaughan stuff and some of the Marauders own
material. well worth a second listen. Long live the
blues.  CD
